Helsinki based big band playing music composed, arranged and directed by Muhal Richard Abrams who was described in the Penguin Guide as "one of the most important catalytic forces in contemporary jazz and improvisation". This CD, scheduled for release early 2000, will be the first big band recording to be released on SLAM. Recorded in Helsinki, 1988. 2000 RELEASE
